If I had the chance to re-design this section I would have made the overall level shorter and the individual sections shorter with more forgiving checkpoints. I think this was a case of us on the development team being too familiar and good at the game, resulting in it being too difficult. I think more outside testers would have highlighted the need to make this level a bit more player friendly while still maintaining the intensity.
